Toxic elements screen -urine


Indications:

A screen for toxic metals using inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) for 18 nutritional and toxic elements (aluminium, antimony, arsenic, barium, beryllium, cadmium, chromium, cobalt, copper, lead, manganese, mercury, molybdenum, nickel, selenium, thallium, tin and zinc).

Patient Instructions:

Collect urine over a 6 hour period (preferably including first urine of the morning, but not essential). Measure the volume of urine collected, mix the entire collection well and return a 10-20ml aliquot of urine to Biolab.
