Selenium (Se) - hair

Indications:

The significance of hair selenium was first noted in the study of Keshan disease; low hair selenium suggests inadequate intake. Hair selenium can be use to monitor supplementation. High levels are see in overexposure to selenium. Some anti-dandruff preparations and shampoos contact selenium, and their use may influence the result.
