Porphyrins - urine screen

Indications:

Porphyrin metabolism can be used as a marker of toxci metal exposure and toxicity. This profile looks at porphyrins associated with mercury, aluminium, lead and arsenic.

Patient Instructions:

This test is referred to an external laboratory. Patient has to transfer 2ml of urine to Vacuette tube (yellow top) and return to us in light proof bag (supplied)
