Helicobater antibodies

Indications:

Helicobacter pylori is associated with chronic gastritis and has been implicated in the aetiology of peptic ulcers. A positive antobody test is a good screening test but does not necessariliy indicate current helicobacter associated disease.
Further investigation with aurea-C13 breath test may be indicated in some patients with a positive antibody test.
